NEW BOOK! 'SIGNIFICANT FOR A SECOND'

This brief photojournal is a collection of casual observations from recent times and encounters, it serves as a document of some wide ranging remarkable moments that have variously formed in front of my eyes, they're being vanity published in a very limited number, anyone interested in viewing one do let me know.

F/8 ZINE

WELCOME TO F/8 AND BE THERE, THIS PRESENTATION IS A COLLECTION OF IMAGES THAT ARE UNITED BY THEIR NATURE, THEY EACH OR BY PART OF THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO OTHERS IN SERIES ARE DOCUMENTARY FACADES OR PORTRAYALS OF A FACET OF A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN IMAGE-MAKER AND SUBJECT.
Or so the blurb goes...
The First issue of F/8 AND BE THERE is proofed- this zine is a collection of images by myself and various people with cameras, who have experienced something, taken a photo of it and as a result now you can see it.
F/8 MUSIC / F/8 ZINE

Here is a shot of German Krautrock band 1000 Robota, playing a brutal, brilliant show in East London some time ago, those of you who followed or viewed my previous blog http://f8music.blogspot.com/ may remember this image being the header of my page.
I wanted to let anyone who is interested know that from now on that blog will not be updated and is defunct, I am instead simplifying it into this blog with the new address etc, as it seemed pointless having one for some music shots etc and another for goings on with the Zine. It will be combined and excreted out of this orifice in future.
So please Watch this Space.

AN EXPERIMENT ON A BIRD IN THE AIR PUMP, UK

Brutally Dark, Minimal Art rock outfit 'An Experiment on a Bird in the Airpump'
-Joseph Wrights 17th century oil painting of the same name depicts a scene of a bird being starved of oxygen before a group of bewildered onlookers,
A strangely Apt image to relate to this Atmospheric, Noir soundscape were my thoughts.

THE FALL- VICE MAGAZINE FESTIVAL

A predictably Scornful Mark E. Smith at Vice Magazines summer Festival, far from a photographers dream, (I felt the full wrath of a few M.E.S scowls)
I'm pleased with (Top) Mark E. Smith shot, meddling with amps/instruments etc, the attitude he exudes and addition to tracks doing this is something I was keen to show.
This Nations Saving Grace.
